The DraftStreet Fantasy Baseball Championship – $1 Million Dollars

A Guide to the Millionaire Making DraftStreet Baseball Championship

The Drafstreet Baseball Championship is an exciting proposition. For as little as a dollar one of their members will be pocketing a massive seven figure sum, with many other impressive prizes for all of the eighty grand finalists. In the following guide firstly you’ll see how you can qualify for this massive event, moving onto the format of the finals, finishing with the prize fund, information and how you can get involved.

DSBC – Qualifying

Satellites, And Qualifiers Running Daily

There are a series of final qualifiers over the coming weeks, and depending on the prize fund of each, one or more players will qualify from each one and grab a place in the final eighty. These qualifiers range from $11 all the way up to $1050, with the higher entry fee offering more chance to make the finals. The $1050 qualifier on the 17th June is offering five seats at the main event.

You can buy in directly to each of these qualifiers, however you can also gain entry to one via a satellite event, where you’ll pay a lower fee. The top performers in these satellites will gain a spot in a qualifier. As examples, there is a $1 satellite featuring 24 players, where the winner will advance to a $22 qualifying event, or for $5 you will advance to a $109 qualifying event.

A good fantasy sports player may buy in directly to one of the qualifiers, or may choose to enter a satellite, where there will probably be a slightly weaker field – making the entry to the qualifier somewhat cheaper.

The first qualifier took place on April 29th with a $22 buy-in and user Orangetang beat 1339 others to claim his place in the main event – pitcher Jose Fernandez being his star player with a win and eight strikeouts in his eight innings. Runner up BeeplmaJeep won’t be too disappointed as he picked up a cool $2,000 for his efforts.

Qualifiers are currently scheduled until the 17th June, but there are many more to be announced in the lead up to the main event in September.

DSBC – The Main Event

DSBC – Rules and Regulations

All of the leagues employ a salary cap draft system, where players have to pick a roster ensuring the salary doesn’t go over $100,000. The roster consists of a catcher, first/second/third basemen, three outfielders, a utility player, and three pitchers – with each player scoring points based upon performance. The player whose roster scores the most points overall will be declared the winner of any contest.

You must 18 or over to enter and no user can have more than four main event entries.

DraftStreet is one of our top recommended daily fantasy sites. You can compare DraftStreet to FanDuel and Draftkings baseball but most players who play on DS really love the player pricing at DraftStreet.
