According to a thread on reddit the small and less well known fantasy site, FantasyUp shut down suddenly late in the evening on 1/14/2016. The rotogrinders mega thread on it is here. Also a piece has surfaced on Legal Sports Report covering the initial breaking details.
Since these are U.S.A based companies, if you were affected I suggest you absolutely take legal action if you must. I encourage all my visitors to stick to a very small select list of DFS sites for this reason. I have a few smaller ones listed but those are ones that at least appear to have actual funding, legit deposits and withdrawals and ones that I have actually paid and deposited on.
The scary part about this so far is that up until ‘near tipoff’ deposits were being accepted. It will be an interesting turn of events. Not that the industry needs any additional negative news right now with the legal action going on in NY, but this sucks for players. I encourage you all to only keep a modest bankroll online at any given time and to be sure you are comfortable playing at one of the legit daily fantasy sites.
